On the back of growth in the business and legal services sector, HNH Human Capital has recently welcomed Rachel Coleman to the team.
Rachel has taken up a newly created role of Trainee Recruitment Consultant working alongside Associate Director Fionntan Gamble in the legal and business services department.
New client acquisitions coupled with market demand for senior hires across the industry, has contributed to the need for an additional resource to maintain a high quality of service.
HNH Human Capital Managing Partner Sarah Orange is thrilled with Rachel’s appointment and points to her unique experience as a key differential.
“Rachel has a distinctive combination of experience,” she said.
“Having worked as a legal secretary, this gives her credibility when recruiting for legal secretaries.
“She also has experience in sales and she’s a part-time make-up artist as well.
“That was what made her stand out; she’s savvy, creative and has a hunger and drive about her to go and do something extra-curricular and make a business out of it.”
When recruiting to build her team, Orange tries to find skills that separates a candidate from the rest of the field.
“It’s the soft skills that I look for in people and the fact she’s a part-time make-up artist shows her tenacity, drive and attention to detail.
“When I met her, I just felt it was the right fit. The team dynamic and culture that we enjoy is vitally important and something I am careful to maintain.”
Orange says market demand requires an increase in resource within the team.
“Fionntan has successfully grown the business and legal services side but it was only a matter of time before demand took over supply,” she said.
“We have a number of key contracts for which we are the preferred supplier so we need to ensure we keep on top of delivery.
“With succession planning in mind, and for his own development, having someone else available to assist with client care and delivery, it means he won’t be spread too thin.
“It allows Fionntan to focus on senior hires and ensures that we have someone fully devoted to junior hires.
“It increases our capacity to deliver in a more timely fashion and across a broader spectrum of roles at any given time.”
Coleman is into her second week in the job and explains why HNH Human Capital caught her eye.
“I’m impressed by the company’s core values and morals which are very much in line with my own,” she said.
“HNH Human Capital is different in many ways from traditional recruitment companies and it’s the culture within the business really attracted me to make the move.
“I have a management, sales and legal background, all of which are transferable skills.
Long term, Coleman wants to help grow the business whilst continuing to ensure there is a focus on high quality client care.
“I’d like to build trust and rapport with clients and candidates so they continue to be impressed with our services and see me as a vital point of contact for recruitment needs.
