The Account Director role has opened up due to a period of accelerated growth. With that growth comes an opportunity for an experienced PR & Communications professional to shape the future success of the company and grow an organic professional team.
Your new role
As an account Director who liaises closely with the MD, your role will involve directing the strategic PR & Communications campaigns of high value client accounts, ensuring effective results and profit for the consultancy. You will have managerial responsibility for 2-3 account managers with the aim to grow the team to 4-5 within the next 12 -18 months. The Account Director plays an integral role in developing and delivering effective corporate and consumer client campaigns, on budget and within time. In addition to the leadership and managerial functions of the role, you will take ownership of business forecasting, income delivery, resourcing, recruitment and planning processes. Representing the consultancy at the highest possible levels within PR industry across all sectors, you will be an ambassador for the company and your team. You will own and nurture senior client relationships and assist your team in devising appropriate client strategies. As the day-to-day point of contact in the business, you will be given responsibility for on-boarding new clients, dealing with queries or issues arising and managing personal performance of your team.
All about you
The successful account Director will be able to demonstrate not just competencies in areas of leadership, communication, management, event organising, pitch planning, setting targets and project management, but will also have a proven and evidenced record of effective, profitable, management of PR communications projects and lead generation activities.
You will be of graduate calibre in PR, Communications, Advertising and Marketing or a related discipline. You will be able to offer extensive experience in PR & Account management (client side), preferably within a PR consultancy or corporate communications agency. You must have prior experience managing teams and exceeding client targets. Digital PR skills and experience are desired together with excellent commercial and financial acumen.
This role will suit someone who is flexible with working hours when required. Someone who understands consumer and corporate client needs and who is able to pitch business, ideas and solutions to highly reputable international clients, commanding the necessary respect the role requires. A self-starting attitude coupled with superb work ethic that is void of egotistical selling is what will make you successful and guarantee your progression within the company. There may be ad hoc travel to UK on occasion but the role will be based primarily in Belfast.
