As a result, we are looking to recruit a well-connected Commercial Manager with experience in both UK and ROI markets. The Commercial Manager will potentially open up new markets for the company and will have a proven background in steering companies through periods of growth and development.


Your new position of responsibility

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading the company brands within Ireland & UK through the commercial landscape.  You will report directly to the Senior Management Office and will be responsible for establishing and driving National / Global Sales / Cooperate Partnerships /Business Development Teams. This role will maintain consistent growth whilst navigating the ever changing markets and industry. The Commercial Manager is an integral position within the overall senior leadership within the business. They will be accountable for developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to rapidly accelerate bottom line and growth.


Some of the Key duties and responsibilities of the Commercial Manager will include:

  • Develop and implement short and long-term plans for strategic sales growth at a National / Global Level.
  • Establishing annual sales objectives in accordance with the company’s business plan, providing monthly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan
  • Building the Sales Department and execute against the company strategic plan
  • Manage and lead, set goals and objectives and conduct performance reviews with the sales team and define operating frameworks to scale the business
  • Driving and building pipelines for new business opportunities, identify, develop and grow revenues ensuring the team meets and exceeds their sales quotas
  • Defining target markets, identifying key players and providing input and strategy to drive opportunity
  • Understanding the requirements of existing corporate customers to ensure their needs are being met and re-educating them on product listings securing long term win-win relationships.
  • Leading complex negotiations with major customers
  • Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities
  • Monitoring performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring


Essential Experience

  • 7+ years in sales / commercial management / supply chain across Island of Ireland
  • Proven experience leading a commercial function within a large, complex and fast paced company
  • In depth understanding and proven experience of supplier negotiations, deal making and developing lasting stakeholder relationships
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic, entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Proven ability to grow revenue & margins
  • Proven record of developing sales teams
  • Qualification in business/ finance / accounting discipline



  • MSC /MBA in business/ finance / accounting field



There is an excellent remuneration package including company bonus available for this role together with an outstanding and genuine path of progression into a Commercial Director role within a short period of time.
